Expansion modes
Literal
literal searches only for the input Unicode string. It creates no particle, ending, irregular, or derivational programs.
Normalization still applies. With canonical, NFC and NFD forms are searched as canonical variants of the same string.
Inflection
The default inflection mode generates POS-preserving particle attachment and predicate inflection. It includes coda-conditioned allomorphs, ending chains, irregulars, and registered contractions.
POS-changing paths such as noun-to-predicate 하다 derivation are excluded.
Derivation
derivation adds productive paths from versioned rule data. These paths include noun plus 하다, selected affixes, and subsequent inflection.
It does not combine every plausible affix. A path becomes a program only when its lexicon POS, source components, and rule-specific structural constraints are complete.
