Code license

kfind source code uses the MIT License in the repository’s LICENSE. It covers the Rust crates, site source, and npm wrapper.

Dependencies remain under their upstream licenses.

Data licenses

The National Institute of Korean Language is the creator and provider of the source material. kfind extracts, normalizes, and selects predicate, modern-ending, particle, and attached-nominal-suffix metadata from pinned snapshots of the Basic Korean Dictionary, Standard Korean Language Dictionary, and Open Korean Knowledge Dictionary.

The processed data retains only required headwords, parts of speech, conjugations, related forms, and source IDs. Dictionary examples, definitions, multimedia, and pronunciation data are not redistributed.

This data and the corresponding portions embedded in native binaries and WebAssembly are distributed under CC BY-SA 2.0 KR. Independently authored kfind source code remains under the MIT License.

The National Institute of Korean Language does not endorse or sponsor kfind.

Full-POS and compact-component artifacts derived from Apache-2.0 mecab-ko-dic include its original COPYING.

Distribution notices

The repository and GitHub release source include LICENSES.md and the NIKL-derived-data notice. The npm package carries the same notice in LICENSES.md and assets/LICENSES. Homebrew installs it with the package documentation.

The site distributes this license page with WebAssembly that embeds NIKL-derived ending and suffix catalogs.

A separately hosted resource must be distributed with the same notice.
